1. Acceptance
These Terms form an agreement between you and Maher Salamin, the operator of Jebti in Palestine. By using the app or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you cannot legally enter this agreement on your own, you may use Jebti only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms for you.
2. The service
Jebti is a personal and household finance management app. It lets you enter and organize accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, payments, debts and loans, and shopping lists, and generate summaries and reports. It does not connect to your bank accounts, hold funds, or execute bank transfers.
You may keep data locally on your device and optionally sync it with our servers. The API is intended only for the official Jebti app; it is not a public developer or third-party service.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate, current information and protect your password, device, and access tokens. You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by law. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require reasonable email or identity verification to protect an account.
4. Acceptable use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Jebti for personal or household purposes under these Terms.
You must not:
- Use the service unlawfully or fraudulently, or violate another person’s rights.
- Test security without permission, bypass authentication or usage limits, or introduce malicious code.
- Scrape data, operate bots, resell API access, or provide it to another party.
- Reverse engineer, copy, modify, or create derivative works except where the law does not allow that restriction.
- Impersonate others or interfere with the service or another user’s account.
5. Your data and operating license
You retain ownership of information you enter into Jebti. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, host, transmit, copy, and display it only as needed to provide your chosen features, secure the service, and comply with law. This license ends when the data is deleted, except where retention is legally required or needed to resolve earlier rights and obligations.
You confirm that you have the right to enter information concerning other people, such as creditor or debtor names, and will handle it lawfully and responsibly.
6. No financial service or advice
Jebti is not a bank, financial institution, financial, investment, tax, or legal adviser, lender, broker, or payment processor. Budgets, suggestions, reports, exchange rates, and reminders are not professional advice or guarantees of any outcome.
Calculations, records, dates, or exchange rates may be inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete. You must independently verify all important information before making a decision, paying an amount, or relying on a deadline. You remain responsible for your financial decisions and obligations.
7. Reminders, sync, and backups
Reminders depend on device, network, email, and server conditions and may be delayed or fail. Do not rely on them as your only way to meet a financial or legal deadline.
If you choose local-only mode, you are responsible for securing your device and creating and restoring backups. If you choose sync, we will use reasonable efforts to operate it but cannot guarantee uninterrupted sync or no data loss. Keep an independent copy of important information.
8. Fees and paid features
The service is free unless we clearly offer otherwise. We may later provide a free plan and paid features. Before a purchase, we will show the price, subscription term, renewal and cancellation method, and any additional terms, and will not charge you without consent.
Unless the law or purchase terms require otherwise, paid fees are non-refundable. This does not limit consumer rights that cannot be waived.
9. Intellectual property
Except for your data, the app, brand, design, software, and content belong to the operator or licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of Jebti or permission to use its name or logo outside normal use of the app.
10. Third-party services
Jebti may rely on hosting, database, email, and public exchange-rate providers, and may later add notification or crash-reporting services. Independent services may have their own terms. We are not responsible for a service we do not own or control, while remaining responsible for obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Changes and availability
We may improve, change, or discontinue features, impose reasonable usage limits, and perform maintenance. We will try to give appropriate notice before material changes that significantly reduce the service, but may act immediately for security or legal reasons. We do not guarantee constant availability or compatibility with every device.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Jebti and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, act fraudulently or abusively, or if suspension is needed to protect the service or others. Where practical and safe, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.
On termination, your license ends. Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive as needed.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free or that reports and results will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose. These Terms do not exclude warranties or rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jebti and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit, opportunity, or data damages resulting from use or inability to use the service, including reliance on a calculation, exchange rate, report, or reminder.
Our total liability for all service-related claims will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Jebti during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or ILS 100 if you paid nothing. This limit does not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot legally be limited.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse the operator for reasonable claims and costs resulting from your unlawful use, deliberate breach of these Terms, or violation of another person’s rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own act or omission.
16. Law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Palestine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Before starting a formal proceeding, the claimant must send the other party a written description of the dispute and requested resolution, then try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days. You may send notice to the email below.
If unresolved, the dispute will be referred to binding arbitration in Palestine under Palestinian Arbitration Law No. 3 of 2000, before one arbitrator, in Arabic unless the parties agree otherwise. If arbitration is unenforceable for a particular claim, or applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to go to court, the competent Palestinian courts will have jurisdiction over that claim. Either party may seek urgent court relief to protect accounts, data, or intellectual-property rights.
17. General
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be adjusted only as much as necessary and the rest will remain effective. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a service reorganization with appropriate notice. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement concerning the service.
We may update these Terms when the service or law changes. We will publish the new date and give appropriate notice before material changes. Continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
