1. Who we are
Jebti is a personal and household finance management app operated by Maher Salamin, an individual based in Palestine. “Jebti,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the app operator.
Privacy contact: codenest.creations@gmail.com. We may update this contact address when the app launches and will publish the change here.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Jebti mobile app, its related sync services, and our public pages. It does not govern independent third-party services or websites.
3. Information we handle
Information you provide
- Your name, email address, securely hashed password, and account preferences.
- Financial information you enter yourself, including accounts, balances, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, recurring payments, debts and loans, and shopping lists.
- Information you send when requesting support or contacting us.
Technical and security information
- IP address, device or browser type, login activity, failed login attempts, timestamps, and authentication tokens.
- A random app-generated installation identifier, device model, operating-system version, carrier, locale, and timezone for notifications, compatibility, and troubleshooting.
- Operational and security logs needed to run the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
The current app does not collect contacts, location, photos, biometric data, advertising identifiers, persistent hardware identifiers, or Wi-Fi network details. If a future feature requires a new category of data, we will update this policy and request any required permission before collecting it.
4. Local data and optional sync
You can use Jebti while keeping financial data only on your device, or choose to sync it with our servers. Data that stays on your device is not sent to us. Its protection and backup depend on your device settings and choices.
If you enable sync, your account information and the financial records you choose to sync are transmitted to our servers so they can be restored and synchronized across app sessions. You may stop syncing, but information already transmitted remains until you delete your account or request its deletion.
5. How we use information
- Create accounts, verify email addresses, authenticate users, and provide requested features.
- Sync and restore data and generate summaries, reports, and exports.
- Send verification messages and alerts or reminders you enable.
- Secure accounts, detect fraud or attacks, enforce usage limits, and troubleshoot failures.
- Comply with law, enforce our Terms, and defend legal rights.
- Improve service reliability and usability using operational information that is aggregated or limited where practical.
6. Why we process information
We process information to provide the service you request; with your permission for optional features such as sync and reminders; for our legitimate interest in protecting the service; and to meet legal obligations. You may withdraw permission for optional features at any time without affecting earlier processing.
7. Disclosure and service providers
We do not sell or rent personal data, share it for advertising or behavioral marketing, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
Hosting, database, and email providers may receive limited access where necessary to provide services to us, subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect users, the service, or legal rights, or in connection with a legal reorganization with appropriate notice.
The currency-conversion feature may retrieve public exchange rates from an external provider. A request contains a base currency code and is not intended to send your identity, accounts, or financial records to that provider. If we later add notification, crash-reporting, or other providers that handle personal information, we will update this policy before the relevant sharing begins.
8. International storage and transfers
The country or region where synced data is stored may depend on our hosting provider. By using sync, you understand that information may be processed outside Palestine. We will select providers with appropriate safeguards and limit their access to what is needed to operate the service.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep account and synced data while your account remains open. When you delete the account, we immediately delete your account and associated financial data from our active systems, except information we must retain by law or temporarily need to protect the service from fraud and demonstrate compliance.
We do not provide personal server-side backups. Backups you create on your device or through its operating-system provider remain under your control and must be removed separately. Login, security, and server logs may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for security, investigation, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. We review their necessity and restrict access, but cannot promise deletion while they remain necessary for those purposes.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including protected authentication, access restrictions, password hashing, and login-attempt monitoring. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your device, credentials, and local backups.
11. Your rights and choices
You can view and correct profile data, export your data, and delete your account in the app. You can also disable reminders or optional sync. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction. We will review and respond within a reasonable period as required by applicable law after verifying your identity.
12. Children and minors
People of different ages may use Jebti. Anyone who cannot legally consent on their own may use the app only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. A guardian who believes a minor submitted data without the required permission should contact us.
13. Cookies and analytics
Jebti’s public pages currently use no optional cookies, analytics, or advertising tools. The service may use strictly necessary authentication technology if needed to deliver a feature you request. We will update this policy before adding non-essential analytics or tracking.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app features, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy with a new effective date and provide notice or request renewed consent when a change is material or the law requires it.
15. Contact
